Serving: Hate ‘em or love ‘em, dad sandals are here to stay!

The infamous dad sandal or flatform sandal, to love them or hate them. On today’s style menu, we’re diving into this trend that may just be the shoe of the Spring/Summer seasons. Comfort has really been the focal point of fashion lately, in addition to taking it back to the trends of the 90s. The trend was made famous by the Birkenstock sandal and has now been taking the fashion world by storm with the Chanel dad sandal. I’ll admit that this trend isn’t for the faint at heart, I really didn’t think it would be for me. But. Here. We. Are.

If you are looking to edge up any look or for my true fashion girls at heart, the best way to rock this trend is with literally everything. They add a level of juxtaposition to any look. Try pairing them with a really feminine dress, jeans and a simple top, or even a chic summer suit. I decided to pair mine with a dress featuring another Spring/Summer trend, cut outs (check out my last post on how to rock this trend). Check out my look:

These are a more sportier option:

If dad sandals are a little too much for you, try the flatform, this is a more elevated way to rock this trend. The flatform is a little more sleeker but still keeping on trend with it’s chunky sole. These can also be paired with anything, try rocking with jeans, t-shirt, and a oversized blazer.
