Serving: Breaking up with your suits!

If you’ve been following my blog posts for the last three weeks, first of all, THANK YOU!

Secondly, I hope you’re seeing an overall theme for this season’s fashion, which is comfort! My goal is to teach you how to create fashionable looks, using pieces that you already have, without forsaking comfort.

So check out this week’s posts on breaking up your suits!

On today’s style menu, we’re breaking up our suits! Suits are wardrobe staples often associated with professional environments. However, since many of us are still working from home and not back in the office (yet), we can still get wear out of our suits for more elevated casual looks!

Suits are essential pieces for every season, because of the many looks that can be created from them. The ideal suit is one that has a blazer, pants, and/or skirt in a neutral color like black, navy, or tan. Suits in these colors can literally be paired with anything! The blazer can be paired with other looks, such as jeans, another pair of pants and other skirts. With these crazy Spring temperatures, blazers can also be used has extra layering pieces in lieu of a jean or leather jacket . The bottom piece of the suit (pant or skirt) can be dressed up with various tops and other layering pieces such as a cardigan, keeping with a more dressy vibe. The best way to make any of your looks either dressy or casual, is using your accessories. A nice heel, chic flat, or a dope sneaker can definitely change the overall vibe of your suit look.

My favorite way of breaking up my suits is wearing the suit pieces together, introducing more casual pieces, like t-shirt and dope sneakers. So, pull out your suits and get to creating! Let me your favorite way of styling your suits. Take a look at how I style this fun printed suit:
